I’m a miniatures painter and wargamer in beautiful western Oregon. Like many other players, I cut my teeth on Warhammer 40k back in the mid-90s. I’ve played a huge variety of miniatures games over the years. In addition to popular sci-fi games set in the grim darkness of the far future, I also really enjoy post-apocalyptic and fantasy skirmish games that allow me to use a wide variety of miniatures. I’ve got an enormous collection of painted figures and terrain and use every excuse to get those toys on the table.
So what will you find here here on Comrade’s Wargames blog?
Well, from an early age, I was attracted to the visually stunning spectacle of two gloriously painted armies clashing on a tabletop filled with gorgeous handcrafted terrain. So I’m going to spend considerable time showcasing my painted figures and terrain, along with plenty of game reports.
In addition, I love worldbuilding and roleplaying in general, so I’m particularly drawn to miniatures games with a strong narrative component. Look for more of those musings here, too.
I also enjoy giving back to the gaming community, so I teach introductory painting classes at my local community center, and I run games at conventions as well.
I’d like to hear from you as well. Email me anytime at comrade@comradewargames.com.
